Sažetak

 

Uvod: Horoidni pleksus je lokalizovan u komorskom sistemu mozga, a jedna od osnovnih funkcija je produkcija cerebrospinalne tečnosti. Cilj: Cilj rada je bio da se ustanovi da li kod mladih, osoba srednje i starije životne dobi postoje razlike u prosečnom broju psamomskih telašaca, zastupljenosti zrelih i nezrelih telašaca. Upoređivane su i razlike u površinskoj zastupljenosti, površini i dijametru psamoznih telašaca. Materijal i metode: Istraživanje je obuhvaćeno 30 parafinskih kalupa horoidnog pleksusa bočnih moždanih komora odraslih osoba starosti od 18-84 godine, podeljenih u tri starosne grupe sa po 10 osoba: mlade osobe (mlađe od 40 godina), osobe srednje dobi (40-65 godina) i stare osobe (starije od 65 godina). Histološki rezovi su bojeni standardnom HE metodom. Korišćenjem kompjuterskog softvera Fiji – Image J morfometrijski je analiziran ukupan broj i broj zrelih i nezrelih telašaca, površinska zastupljenost, površina i perimetar psamoznih telašaca. Rezultati: Psamomska telašca uočena su kod osoba svih starosnih gupra, u svakom od analiziranih uzoraka. Utvrđen je statistički značajan porast ukupnog broja telašaca, zastupljenosti nezrelih telašaca i površinske zastupljenosti telašaca kod osoba srednje i starije dobi u odnosu na mlade osobe, dok nema razlika izmedju osoba srednje i starije dobi. Dijametar i površina psamoznih telašaca ne razlikuju se statistički značajno među starosnim grupama. Zaključak: U srednjoj dobi dolazi do najintenzivnijeg formiranja novih telašaca, ali sa starenjem se ona ne smanjuju ili povećavaju. Kako se ne razlikuje zastupljenost nezrelih formi telašaca kod osoba srednje i starije dobi, postavlja se pitanje da li je opravdana podela na tzv zrele i nezrele forme, odnosno da li se u osnovi njihovog različitog izgleda nalazi saszrevanje ili neki drugi razlog.

Abstract

 

Introduction: The choroid plexus is located in the ventricular system of the brain and its main function is production of cerebrospinal fluid. Goal: The aim of our study was to determine the average number of psamomma bodies, presence of mature and immature forms, areal density, area and perimeter of psammoma bodies in every age group. Material and methods: The study included 30 choroid plexuses of the lateral ventricles of adults, that were divided into three age groups: young persons (<40 years), middle aged persons (40-65 years) and old persons (>65 years). The histological sections were stained with H&E method. With the help of Fiji-Image J computer software, we morphometrically analyzed the total number, number of mature and immature forms, areal density, area and perimeter of psammoma bodies, and also number and areal density of blood vessels. The collected data were statistically processed. Results:  The psammoma bodies are noticed in every person’s plexus. There was a statistically significant increase in number, part of immature forms and areal density in the groups of old and middle aged persons in comparasion with the group of young people, while there wasn’t difference between middle aged and old persons. There was no statistically significant difference between the age groups in the results of the area and perimeter of psammoma bodies (p>0,05). Conclusion: In middle age formation of new bodies is most intense, but with age they are not enlarging or downsizing. Lack of differences, when it comes to representation of immature forms of bodies among people of middle and old age brings up the question if the terminology and division on so called mature and immature forms is justified, or to put it differently, shall we seek for the reason that lays beyond their different look in the process of maturing, or should we seek for some other reasons.
