Standardizovani testovi omogućavaju preciznu procenu fine motorike, a među najčešće korišćenim su: Box&block test (BBT), Bruininks-Oseretsky test (BOT-2), Nine-Hole Peg test (NHPT), Jebsen-Taylor test (JTT), Purdue Pegboard test (PPT).

Abstract

Fine motor skills (FMS) refer to the coordinated movements of the hand and finger muscles required to perform precise actions, resulting from the integrated activity of the locomotor, sensory, central, and peripheral nervous systems. In children, particularly those with developmental disorders, impaired motor selectivity can adversely affect the execution of daily activities. Early identification of such deficits is therefore critical to ensure timely inclusion in appropriate (re)habilitation programs. Standardized assessment tools provide an objective and reliable means of evaluating fine motor abilities, with the most frequently employed instruments including the Box & Block Test (BBT), Bruininks-Oseretsky Test (BOT-2), Nine-Hole Peg Test (NHPT), Jebsen-Taylor Test (JTT), and Purdue Pegboard Test (PPT). This review aims to summarize the characteristics and clinical applications of these standardized tests in the pediatric population. Regular utilization of these assessments facilitates more precise formulation of therapeutic goals and enables effective monitoring of motor development in children.
